News from Chameleon

News from ChameleonSo far, 2016 has been a busy and productive year at Chameleon Associates!  Highlights from our 2nd quarter include:

The Minnesota Sheriff's Association (MSA) hosted a two-day Proactive Threat Assessment and Security Questioning course from Chameleon as well as a two-day Active Shooter: Lessons Learned in Israel seminar from IMI (Israel Military Industries) expert trainers.  Formed back in 1885, the MSA mission is to provide training and education to insure maximum preparedness to serve and protect citizens.  Attendees included MSA members as well as representatives from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

We've seen an uptick in training requests in Europe which is not surprising given the increased incidence of terrorist acts there this year.  Chameleon has conducted Threat, Risk and Vulnerability assessments for two world renowned museums and we continue to train European law enforcement and security companies on proactive security techniques.

This quarter, Chameleon conducted customized training to a large protection and security unit working in Southern California.  This private unit was interested in adding proactive skills and more knowledge of countering insider threat to better protect their VIP client and his family.

Our school security program continues to grow. Chameleon provides Security Quality Assurance training and management to private schools across California.  Regular red teaming helps keep the schools’ entire security apparatus on its toes.  Both school administrators and parents appreciate the added support in making campuses safer.

One of the largest U.S. based airline companies hired Chameleon to conduct screening training for its cargo personnel.  Another national carrier invited us to provide its pilots and crew with training on how to transit safely. And for the TSA, Chameleon is slated to conduct courses on Insider Threat, Proactive Threat Assessment, Security Questioning and screening at several airports around the U.S.

Chameleon Australia was in Singapore this month conducting a Proactive Threat Assessment – ‘Predictive Profiling’ course organized by OpenForum.  Attendees included security managers from government agencies, the police and Home Affairs, among others.  Singapore is particularly concerned about security and terrorist threat, given its geographic location.  This Chameleon training received rave reviews and requests for more training later this year.

Several property management companies in Canada are using Chameleon's online curriculum to boost security skill sets.  Hundreds of security officers have learned online with Chameleon this year.

Chameleon won a bid for a Bank of Canada contract to deliver proactive threat assessment and security SOP development; we are in the process of Contract delivery.  A Central Bank in the Caribbean has also commissioned SOP Development services from Chameleon. We delivered a TRV assessment and provided training to security management and law enforcement stakeholders who work with that Central Bank.

Our SOP Dev process: we begin by performing a thorough, threat-oriented threat assessment, do a review of the client’s current procedures, conduct interviews with key executive and operational personnel.  The final SOP work product is a customized tool for security personnel to use and build on.

Chameleon’s unique Security Quality Assurance program continues to expand.  A multi-billion dollar property management company in Southern California has retained us for our SQAM program. While complaints and grievances about private security abound – we are doing something about it.  Well trained security officers are the most important component of a security system yet sadly, training is too often neglected.  Our Quality Assurance managers provide an independent perspective.  The program combines Chameleon security training, post inspections and red team to insure that our client is receiving the best possible private security services.

Chameleon is now an official training partner for American Security and Investigations (ASI).  ASI  turned to us to enhance their security officer training in response to their clients need for more proactive security services.  As threats grow, the need for capable, engaged and well trained guards has never been stronger.  Link here for the details.
