School Security in Israel

In 1974, a terrorist attack on a school in northern Israel left 21 children dead.  That’s when policy for securing schools in Israel changed.  The way school security is conducted is mandated by the State and is standardized across the country.  School security procedures and rigorous training have all but eliminated attacks on schools over the last 4 decades.

As part of the Israeli Security Model seminar, participants will see first-hand how school security works and will meet personally with the Head of Security for a large school district to discuss issues and learn more.
