Air Cargo represents one of the most vulnerable and critical areas in aviation security today. In 2007, Congress passed the 9/11 Commission Act, which requires the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to create a system capable of screening all air cargo transported on passenger aircraft.
This course addresses the skills and tools required to effectively profile and screen cargo for any kind of terrorist threat. Trainees will learn how terrorists can exploit and infiltrate the air-cargo system and the commercial route. They will also learn to identify the correlating suspicion indicators that such terrorist activities could produce in the freight’s documentation, packaging, content and overall appearance. The course will provide effective security measures (technological and human) that stakeholders can use to prevent or minimize threat to air-cargo..
Chameleon's Cargo Profiling methods are applicable to virtually any environment and to any set of security requirements. If you have special needs, the course can be customized for your specific environment and resources.
The course covers the following subjects:
"Freight Forwarders, couriers, mass transportation dealing with cargo, and large mail room facilities. Security personnel, managers and supervisors can all benefit from this introduction to Cargo Profiling.
Here is what one of our clients wrote about our cargo profiling course module:
"On behalf of the national security committee of the air line pilots Association international I would like to thank you for your participation as a guest speaker at our international aviation security Academy in Washington DC in July of 2006.
Your overview of cargo profiling was considered by our attendees as one of the high points of the many presentations they received during our security academy. As a result of the high interest ALPA will be hosting your full cargo profiling course in November to our members, along with attendees from government and industry. ALPA strongly believes that your course could be of great benefit to security professionals who are involved in making and implementing policies and procedures regarding air cargo security.
Your professionalism and subject matter expertise was evident in your presentation and reflect great credit upon yourself and Chameleon Associates. We look forward to continuing our relationship with you and Chameleon in our joint efforts to make commercial aviation safe and more secure despite the evolving security challenges we all face worldwide.
